Materials

What Counts as Construction Debris

Most of what comes off a build or a remodel goes straight in the box.

Goes Straight In

Standard construction and demolition material.

  • Lumber, framing and trim
  • Drywall, plaster and insulation
  • Roofing shingles and underlayment
  • Siding, decking and fencing
  • Flooring, tile, carpet and pad
  • Cabinetry, doors and windows
  • Concrete, brick, block and masonry
  • Packaging, banding and jobsite trash

Call Before You Load

These commonly need separate handling. One phone call saves a rejected load.

  • Paint, solvents, adhesives and fuels
  • Asbestos or anything suspected of it
  • Appliances containing refrigerant
  • Tires and vehicle batteries
  • Propane tanks and pressurised cylinders
  • Anything you are simply not sure about

Not sure about a material? Call 479-480-6270 before it goes in the box.

Sizing a Debris Load

Heavy Material Is About Weight, Not Space

A 30 yard box is not automatically the right answer. Concrete, brick, dirt, tile and shingles hit the weight allowance long before they fill the container, so a smaller box on a clean load often costs less than a big one you cannot legally haul.

  • 20 yard includes up to 3 tons, 30 yard up to 4 tons
  • Heaviest offenders: concrete, brick and block
  • Then dirt, sod, gravel, tile and wet material
  • Shingles too, especially multiple layers
  • Mixed light debris is where the bigger box pays off
  • Tell us the material and we will size it with you

FAQ

Debris Questions

Can I mix materials in one dumpster?

Usually yes for general construction debris. Heavy material like concrete and brick is the exception, and keeping it in a clean load on its own is often cheaper. Call us and we will tell you which way to go.

What happens if I go over the weight allowance?

Overweight loads cost more and, past a point, cannot legally be hauled. That is why we would rather size it correctly with you before delivery than surprise you afterwards.

Do you handle roofing tear-offs?

Yes. Shingles are dense, so tell us the square footage and how many layers are coming off and we will size the box for the weight.

Can the dumpster sit on the street?

Sometimes, but some cities require a permit for placement on a public street or right of way. Check with your city first, and call us so we can plan the drop around it.

Do you serve active jobsites with multiple phases?

Yes. We run swap-outs so an empty box is on site when the full one leaves. See the contractor and commercial page.
